Stay notes
The practical points, explained properly
These are the questions the front desk answers most often. Reading them before you travel removes almost every surprise that a check-in can produce, especially if you are arriving with children, a car, or a flight schedule that does not cooperate.
Checking in and identification
Check-in opens at 2:00 PM and runs through to midnight, with the desk staffed continuously beyond that for late arrivals. Every guest is asked to present photo identification along with a credit card when they arrive, which is standard practice for hotels in Thailand and takes a couple of minutes at the counter. Letting the hotel know your expected arrival time in advance is genuinely useful: it means the paperwork and the key are ready before you reach the door, particularly helpful when a flight into Don Mueang has already run late.
Deposit and payment at arrival
A refundable cash damage deposit of THB 400 is collected on arrival and returned when you check out, provided the room is left as it was found. It is a small, ordinary formality rather than a charge, but it is worth carrying the amount in cash so the check-in conversation stays short after a long journey. Keeping the receipt makes the return at check-out immediate.
Checking out and storing luggage
Check-out is between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM. Because so many guests here are travelling on to a flight or a meeting rather than straight home, baggage storage at reception is available afterwards at no cost, which means the hours between leaving the room and leaving the district do not have to be spent carrying suitcases around Pathum Thani.
Children, extra beds and cribs
Children of all ages are welcome at Smart Hotel. Guests aged eleven and above are charged as adults when calculating occupancy, and an extra bed can be arranged on request for children aged ten and above at an additional charge, subject to availability in the room category you have booked. Cribs are not available, so families travelling with an infant should plan for that in advance rather than on arrival.
Pets, parking and languages
Pets are not permitted anywhere on the property. Free private parking is available on site for the length of your stay with no reservation required, including accessible spaces near the entrance. Reception speaks both English and Thai, which covers most of what guests need at the desk, from explaining a route to a driver over the phone to sorting out an unexpected change of plan at midnight.
